Why health coaching is your answer

Have you ever left the doctor’s office feeling hopeless, confused, or directionless with sudden news about your health? Maybe it’s the opposite, and your doctor tells you you’re fine, your tests read that you’re healthy and that it’s probably in your head, leaving you even more lost.

Have you felt like no matter how much you exercise, or pay attention to what you eat, you’re not getting any better?

Do you feel like you’ve exhausted all means of hope and that you are destined to live with your ailments and dis-eases?

I will be the first to tell you, I have the upmost respect for doctors and my intent is not to discredit their work and dedication to their patients. My intention is to remind you to listen to that intuitive voice which knows that there is grace out there for you too.

Our current society leads us to believe that almost everything can be treated with medication. When you leave the doctor’s office, you typically leave with a script for blood work, medication, or x-rays (which are all lifesaving luxuries that should never be taken for granted), but we leave with little or no explanation on how to better ourselves before our next unwanted visit. We leave without a plan and with all of our hope in a pill. And to your doctor’s credit, they have so much on their plate it would be almost impossible to handle their patients at that wholesome level.

Recently, and mostly due to scientific research and its spread through the mainstream media, conventional doctors are often recommending additional alternatives when prescribing cholesterol or blood pressure medication, like also including a plant-based diet in their lives. Some recommend less damaging acid-reflux medication. They are even recommending exercise and movement! All of this sounds great and truly promising, but there is little to no accountability for the patient’s daily habits, and HOW they can make a change, or the education on WHY they should be making the change in the first place. Without proof or reasoning, it is difficult, even impossible, for anyone to commit to a better life.

It’s one thing to want to heal, but another to know where one can begin to heal. That challenge alone can make one feel apprehensive about getting better. We have the power within each and everyone of us, we just need to know where to start.

I am here to tell you that our bodies were made to heal. Our bodies were created with resilience and strength and made for goodness. Most importantly there is not just one solution, but multiple solutions. It’s up to you to decide which path to take to heal. I know this from first-hand experience that you are capable and there is hope for a healthy life.

So what’s my solution or solutions?

No person, body, or spirit is the same, which is why, as a health coach, I focus entirely on bio-individuality. Strategies that work for someone could be damaging to someone else’s health. Through solution-based coaching methods, we will focus on dietary, physical, psychological, and lifestyle needs, and explore in-depth how to proactively change each of these critical areas. As your health coach, I will facilitate bio-individual conversations, strategic lifestyle planning, and accountability for optimal client behavior change.
